Post-Doctoral Research Associate

I am a Research Fellow at Aalto University, Otaniemi, ESPOO, Finland, in the Department of Computer Science and an Assistant Professor,
Stockholm University and affiliated to KTH, Sweden at Nordita. My current research is in dynamo modelling in supernova driven interstellar medium (ISM) and the effects of ISM turbulence on the processing of cosmic dust.

I have also investigated the Solar convection zone and lower Solar atmosphere within the Academy of Finland Centre of Excellence: Research on Solar Long-Term Variability and Effects (ReSoLVE) and am part of the Astroinformatics group (now HPCLab) within the Department of Computer Science at Aalto developing advance numerical techniqus for processing and managing very large data. My previous employment was at Sheffield University (01 Nov 12 - 31 Mar 15) investigating magnetoacoustic waves in the solar atmosphere as part of the Solar Physics and Astrophysics Research Group in the School of Mathematics and Statistics. I completed my PhD in Applied Mathematics and Astrophysics at Newcastle University on "Supernovae Driven Turbulence in the Interstellar Medium" in November 2012 after a first class MMath Degree in Mathematics in 2008.
